Warranty Policy

Effective 4 October 2026 · KitKiddo.com

  • 2 years from delivery
  • Free repair, replacement or refund
  • UK statutory rights protected
  • Consumer Rights Act 2015

This warranty is provided by BULKECOM LIMITED (Company Reg. No. 79121229), incorporated in Hong Kong, the commercial entity responsible for all KitKiddo sales through KitKiddo.com. It is offered voluntarily and in addition to — not in place of — your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You may rely on either, or both, to obtain a remedy.

Coverage overview

Every KitKiddo product is covered by a 2-year commercial warranty from the date your order is delivered. It protects you against manufacturing defects and component failures under normal everyday use, at no cost to you for the full coverage period.

What this warranty covers

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Seams, stitching, zips, buckles, snaps and fastenings that fail under normal use
  • Wooden, plastic or fabric parts that split, crack or come apart through a defect
  • Battery-powered toys whose electronics, lights, sounds or motors stop working because of a defect
  • Toys and products with built-in rechargeable batteries that won't charge or hold a charge because of a defect
  • Defects in bags, bottles, lunch boxes and everyday accessories — lids, seals, clasps, hinges and straps
Nothing

What it costs you. Warranty claims are processed at no charge. KitKiddo covers the assessment, repair, replacement parts and return shipping for approved claims. You only need to provide proof of purchase and photos or a short video of the issue.

Delivery day

When the clock starts. The 2-year warranty period begins on the date of delivery, not the order date. This is recorded automatically by your carrier tracking, and the delivery date is also visible in your KitKiddo account.

Your UK statutory rights

This commercial warranty does not replace, limit or override your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. Those rights exist independently and alongside this warranty, and you are free to rely on either or both.

  • Goods must be as promised — every product must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described.
  • 30-day right to reject — if a product is faulty within 30 days of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Within 6 months of delivery — a fault is presumed to have been present at delivery. You are entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a refund or price reduction if that doesn't fix the problem.
  • Up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland) — you can make a claim for faulty goods, although after 6 months you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.
  • 14-day right to cancel — under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can cancel an online order within 14 days of delivery.

Where to get independent advice

If you believe your consumer rights have not been respected, free independent advice is available from Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk (England & Wales), consumeradvice.scot (Scotland) and Consumerline at nidirect.gov.uk (Northern Ireland). We always encourage contacting info@kitkiddo.com first — most issues are resolved within 24 hours of direct contact.

What's not covered

This warranty applies to manufacturing defects and component failures arising under normal everyday use. The following are excluded from the commercial warranty. None of these exclusions affect your statutory rights.

Damage & misuse

  • Accidental damage from throwing, drops, impacts, crushing, chewing, cutting or pets
  • Liquid damage to toys or devices that are not designed for water
  • Damage from incompatible chargers, batteries or power supplies
  • Unauthorised repairs, modifications or opening sealed battery compartments
  • Use for anything other than the intended purpose or age range, or against the instructions supplied

Wear, cosmetic & environmental

  • Normal wear and tear — scuffs, scratches, fading, bobbling and stretched elastic
  • Shrinking or colour run from washing outside the care-label instructions
  • Minor variations in colour, wood grain or texture between units — these are not defects
  • Damage from improper cleaning (bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, dishwashers where not stated as safe)
  • Damage from extreme heat, cold, humidity or prolonged direct sunlight

Consumables & other

  • Replaceable batteries such as AA, AAA or coin cells
  • Parts that wear through use — teats, straws, stickers, crayons and refills
  • Clothing outgrown or chosen in the wrong size (see our returns policy instead)
  • Indirect or consequential loss

Borderline cases

If you're unsure whether an issue qualifies — for example, a seam that opened with no memory of rough play, or a toy that stopped working — contact us. We assess every case individually. Where there's genuine doubt, we lean toward resolving it in your favour.

Making a warranty claim

If you believe your KitKiddo product has a covered defect, follow the steps below. We aim to make the process as straightforward as possible.

  1. Email us at info@kitkiddo.com. Use the subject line "Warranty Claim – [Your Order Number]" (e.g. "Warranty Claim – #1001").

  2. Include the required information. Your order number, the delivery date, a clear description of the issue, and photos or a short video showing the fault. For battery-powered toys, tell us which batteries or charger you used.

  3. We assess your claim within 1–3 business days. We may suggest a quick troubleshooting step or ask for more detail, and confirm in writing whether the issue is covered.

  4. If approved, we arrange the return at no cost. We provide a prepaid return label where a return is needed. Pack the item securely, in its original packaging where possible, with all parts included.

  5. We inspect on receipt within 1–2 business days to confirm the fault and decide the appropriate remedy.

  6. Remedy delivered within 14 days. Whether the outcome is repair, replacement or refund, it is completed within 14 days of our inspection — consistent with the refund timescale under UK consumer law.

Proof of purchase

Your order confirmation email serves as proof of purchase. If you can't find it, we can verify your order using your email address and approximate purchase date — just include both in your claim.

Remedies — repair, replace or refund

For approved claims under this warranty, KitKiddo offers repair, replacement or refund. Unlike the statutory position after 6 months, you won't need to prove the fault was present at delivery — if it's a covered defect within 2 years, we put it right.

Repair

Free of charge. Where a fault can be fixed without replacing the whole product, we offer repair. Return shipping is covered both ways.

Replace

Identical or equivalent. For most toys and clothing, replacement is the faster fix. If the item is no longer stocked, we offer an equivalent of at least the same value.

Refund

Full or proportional. Where neither repair nor replacement is possible, or has not solved the problem, you get a full refund or a proportional price reduction within 14 days.

Your right to choose

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you can choose between repair and replacement, unless the option you choose is impossible or disproportionately costly compared with the other. If we believe one option is clearly more appropriate, we will explain why — and you may disagree. Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject a faulty product outright for a full refund.

Warranty period & transferability

2 years

Duration. From the date your order is delivered, as recorded by carrier tracking. Your statutory rights run alongside it and continue beyond it.

Gifts welcome

Transferability. This warranty applies to the original purchaser, evidenced by the KitKiddo.com order confirmation. If you bought the product as a gift, the recipient's family can claim with your order details.

Repaired or replaced items

A repair or replacement under warranty does not start a new 2-year period; cover continues from the original delivery date. However, the repaired or replacement item is covered for at least the remainder of the original term, or 6 months from the date of the remedy — whichever is longer.

Batteries & consumables

Replaceable batteries

Toys powered by replaceable batteries (AA, AAA or coin cells) may be supplied with or without batteries — the listing tells you which. Batteries are consumables and are not covered once depleted. The toy itself remains fully covered.

Built-in rechargeable batteries

Products with built-in rechargeable batteries are fully covered for 2 years. If a battery fails, swells, or loses capacity far faster than normal because of a defect, we repair or replace the product at no charge. Gradual loss of battery life over many charges is normal and not a defect.

Battery safety

Keep batteries, and especially button and coin cells, out of reach of children — swallowing one can cause serious injury within hours. Make sure battery compartments are closed and screwed shut before play. If a toy gets unusually hot, swells, leaks or smells of burning, stop using it and contact us. If you think a child has swallowed a battery, seek medical help immediately.

Limitations & disclaimers

The following limitations apply to this commercial warranty. They do not affect your statutory rights, which cannot be excluded or limited by contract under UK law.

  • KitKiddo's obligations under this commercial warranty are repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, as described above.
  • Toys must be used within the age range stated on the product and its packaging, with adult supervision where indicated. Damage or wear from use outside that range is not a manufacturing defect.
  • Warranty service is provided through KitKiddo's designated fulfilment partner. Self-repair, third-party repair or attempted repair voids the commercial warranty.

Your statutory rights are not affected

Nothing in this warranty limits, excludes or modifies your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where this commercial warranty offers less than your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
